TEAS Reading Tips and FAQ
The TEAS 7 Reading section has 45 questions, but only 39 of them are scored. You won’t know which questions are scored and which are not. You can read more about this in our how to pass the TEAS test guide.
You’ll have a total of 55 minutes for the TEAS 7 Reading section. That means you’ll have just over a minute per question. TEAS 7 Reading passages can have several questions. For instance, the same passage might have a question about finding an opinion, selecting a better title, and determining the meaning of a selected word in the passage.
I recommend you take at least two full TEAS reading practice tests; one when you first start and one before you take the actual TEAS. After your first test, you’ll want to note your weak areas and use your results to create a TEAS study plan. Then, before test day, you’ll want to take a full length, timed test.
